So the fact remains the same: Only one of the resources that would in reality require storage requires it here. So I suggest that we focus on that fact from now on
As an ecotown, I plan to have just enough food so that I can maximize my wood production. Having an extra farm on means that 25 workers can't be chopping wood. If there was no decay in food, it would help ecotowns just as much as it would miltowns.
But in the eraly phase the gains of a military town would be bigger than those of an econome. And that's what I am reffering to. To the fact that economes would be very much below the militaries at that time. Maybe even to a sufficient degree for the militaries to try and keep them there.
And I must disagree, cause I know all too well that the true limit of a military town at the beginning is food. Cause I know that it is for really quite a time 'til weapons begin to be the limiting factor. Choosing enemies is easy. One only has to search for a near town that is low on military score and there you go, a target
And for the rest, I dunno what is safer, to be an econome or to be a military town. I disagree with you, JO is a RTS-TBS hybrid, not a RTS and then again, I agree with you that being online often is the key to success. hell, that's why I've been complaining about it, LOL
